Regulations
Red lakes: Only fly fishing (fly rod, fly line and fly) is allowed. A maximum of three flies may be attached to one rod. Spin fishing with floats and flies, baited or scented hooks, flies or lures of any kind are not allowed. Pre baiting is not allowed. Yellow lakes: Spin fishing, fly fishing and bait fishing is allowed. A maximum of three flies, one lure with two flies, or one baited hook may be attached to one rod. Live fish as bait is not allowed. Pre baiting is not allowed. In Björnsjön and Skinnaregölen is no fish planted in the period 1/7-31/8 due to carp lice.
The orange lake Sydvattnet: Fly fishing with fly rod, fly line and fly and spin fishing is allowed. A maximum of three flies or one lure with two flies may be attached to one rod. Baited or scented hooks, flies or lures of any kind are not allowed. Pre baiting is not allowed.
Blue lakes: These lakes are reserved and the permits must be pre booked. The lakes are exclusively for fly fishing. The quoted lakes are Lake Strandgölen, Lake Kvarkasjön, Lake Bastasjön, Lake Hästasjön and Lake Abborragölen (11/5-30/6). Lake Hästasjön and Lake Bastasjön are quoted special lakes with the right to fish with Belly Boats. Only fly fishing (fly rod, fly line and fly) is allowed. The blue permit allows fishing all yellow, orange, and red lakes, between 06.00 – 06.00 the day the permit is valid.
A day permit is valid for 24 hours from its starting time and allows fishing with one rod with a maximum of three salmonids to be killed. An afternoon permit is valid between 15.00 – 24.00 and allows fishing with one rod with maximum of two salmonids to be killed.
A family day permit is valid for two adults and their children up to the age of 15 years and with a maximum quota of six salmonids to be killed. A family afternoon permit’s quota is 4 salmonids to be killed. A week permit allows fishing with one rod and a maximum quota of three salmonids to be killed in each 24 hour period. When the permit’s quota has been reached the permit is invalid. Further fishing requires purchase of a new permit.
It is possible to rent a boat in lake Ibbesjön, Syd- and Nordvattnet, Rödsjön, St. Grubben and in Gårsjön located at Källefall. Belly boats are allowed in lake Syd- and Nordvattnet.
Use of your own boats, canoes etc. is forbidden within the area.
10 personal permits of the same kind during the same year entitle one for free.
All fishing and exploitation of the plant is at your own risk.
Hökensås Nature sanctuary
Hökensås is a nature sanctuary and therefore Allemansrätten (the Swedish law that promotes the general usage and foot access to Swedish land) does not apply within its area. Please observe:
Ban on lighting fires
Lighting fires with wood is forbidden within the area. Charcoal are allowed to be lit in the fire places located within the area. All fires must be under surveillance and be put out with water after being used. Disposable Grills are prohibited, but charcoal bags are available for purchase in the store.
Camping is forbidden within the area
All camping with tents, camper or caravan is forbidden within the nature sanctuary. We refer all camping to Hökensås Semesterby or other camping resorts.
Bird conservation in some areas
Please observe that bird conservation areas are located within the nature sanctuary and that walking in these is forbidden during the period of 1/4 – 31/5. Bird conservation areas are located in lake Nordvattnet, Enesjön and St. Öjasjön.

Bastasjön 450:-/permit (6ppl) max 3 killed fishes (06.00-06.00).
Kvarkasjön 350:-/permit (5 ppl) max 3 killed fishes (06.00-06.00).
Boats
The rent of a rowing boat costs 200:-/day and boat. Pre booking day renting is possible. It is possible to rent a boat for the afternoon at the price of 150:-, but pre booking is not possible.
